Emiri Decision No. (14) of 2013
Concerning the Registration Fees in the Register of Suppliers, Contractors, and Consultants
at the Department of Finance in Ajman
We, Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of the Emirate of Ajman, Chairman of the Executive Council
Having reviewed Emiri Decree No. (8) of 2011 concerning the organization of issuing local legislations in the Emirate of Ajman.
And Emiri Decree No. (11) of 2011 issuing the Financial Law for the Government of Ajman.
And Emiri Decree No. (15) of 2012 concerning the Department of Finance in Ajman.
And Emiri Decision No. (12) of 2011 issuing the Executive Regulations of the Financial Law for the Government of Ajman.
And based on the submission of the Ruler's Representative for Administrative and Financial Affairs, Chairman of the Department of Finance.
And in our desire to regulate the registration in the Register of Suppliers, Contractors, and Consultants at the Department of Finance in Ajman.
And for the requirements of the public interest...
Have decided to issue the following Emiri Decision:
Article (1)
Name and Commencement of the Decision
This Decision shall be named "Emiri Decision No. (14) of 2013 concerning the Registration Fees in the Register of Suppliers, Contractors, and Consultants at the Department of Finance in Ajman" and shall come into force from the first day of January 2014.
Article (2)
Interpretations and Definitions
For the purposes of applying the provisions of this Decision, and unless the context otherwise requires, the following words and phrases shall have the meanings assigned to each of them respectively, below:
The Department: The Department of Finance in Ajman.
The Register: The register maintained by the Department for the registration and renewal of registration of qualified suppliers, contractors, and consultants authorized to deal with the departments of the Government of Ajman.
Supplier: Any company or establishment licensed by the competent authorities in the State to practice the supply of goods, commodities, and other supplies, of any kind, or to provide logistical and other services within its field of specialization, and which meets the registration conditions in the Register effective at the Department.
Contractor: Any company or establishment licensed by the competent authorities in the State to practice contracting works in any field, including construction and maintenance works, and which meets the registration conditions in the Register effective at the Department.
Consultant: Any company licensed by the competent authorities in the State to engage in engineering and technical activities, including design and supervision of construction projects, and which meets the registration conditions in the Register effective at the Department.
Article (3)
Registration and Renewal Fees in the Register
(1) The Department shall collect fees for the registration of the concerned supplier, contractor, and consultant in the Register according to the categories and amounts of fees specified in the table below:

(2) The Department must grant any supplier, contractor, or consultant, after payment of the fees mentioned in clause (1) above, a registration card according to the form approved by the Department. In case of loss or damage of the registration card, the Department shall collect a fee of fifty (50) Dirhams for issuing a replacement for a damaged or lost card for the concerned registration card.
(3) Local and federal government entities are exempted from paying registration and renewal fees in the Register.
Article (4)
Registration Period and Renewal
(1) The validity period of the registration of a supplier, contractor, or consultant in the Register shall be for one calendar year, starting from the date of that registration.
(2) The supplier, contractor, or consultant registered in the Register must renew their registration annually within a period of thirty (30) days from the expiry date of their registration card. This renewal is done by issuing a new registration card according to the conditions and regulations determined by the Department. If the registration of the concerned supplier, contractor, or consultant is not renewed within the aforementioned thirty (30) days, their registration in the Register will be automatically cancelled. They may re-register in the Register at any later time, provided they pay the first-time registration fees stipulated in clause (1) of Article (3) of this Decision.
Article (5)
Publication and Circulation of the Decision
This Emiri Decision shall be published in the Official Gazette of the Emirate and circulated to all concerned authorities for its implementation and to act accordingly, each within its jurisdiction.
Issued by us with our signature at our office in the Emiri Diwan in Ajman on this day, Tuesday, the twenty-eighth of Safar 1435 Hijri, corresponding to the thirty-first day of December 2013 Gregorian.
